Job Hazard; Aggrevation

Working at the zoo is a pretty bizarre experience.
I work in the bird exhibit.
Most of the time, the birds are asleep in their cages.
Then other times, the visitors come into my exhibit and stir them up and the feathers fly.
Also, the phone won't stop ringing for the monkey exhibit and it's so annoying.
"can you tell me what color the monkey butt is today"
Uh, no I don't work for that exhibit
"yea but no one is picking up over there"
sorry, I can't leave the birds to their own devices.
I mean I understand that these people are PAYING to come here, but for real? I didn't realize that when I took on the job of bird caretaker, I would have to be knowledgeable about Polar Bears...
Listen you over there in Polar Bear Kingdom, pick up your freakin' phone! I don't have answers for these folks and I don't like feeling like an ASS.
But, another day another dollar...and I sure have to work hard for the money.
(and they don't treat me right)
