Um, Dinner?

The hubs and I were sharing a rare moment...eating dinner at a decent hour of the day!
We decided to celebrate the occasion by eating at the rarely used dinner table.
Odie thinks this is wierd, since he can usually see what we're eating when we eat on the couch, and the table is so very high.
So he sits, and whines and paws at the table trying to get our attention.
So I throw him a piece of chicken, which he opens his mouth to catch and by the time it reaches him he is already looking on the floor for where it landed, (no he's not a genius, I know).
I start laughing cuz, come on it's silly.
So I try to recreate it for the hubs saying, 'watch, he goes to open his mouth before I even throw it and then after I throw it he thinks it's on the floor already, he misses it by like half a second'.
So, while the thought of this is cute, what transpired is fucking funny.
I throw it, he starts looking for it on the floor while it's still in midair and it LANDS ON HIS BACK! He spends the next 5 minutes pacing around, in a panic trying to figure out where it went before it finally falls off.
What I don't understand is how he didn't feel it land there...God I wish I had video of that.

Let me first start by saying that this blog is for documenting the life of the very best dog in the world. With that being said, he isn't writing this. Obviously. But no matter where we go or who he meets his story touches people, so I am bringing it to the world wide web.
